2012-2013 School Year

Welcome Back to School!

8th Grade
WELCOME NEW 8th GRADE STUDENTS! This is the beginning of the 1st nine weeks! You will be in computers with me, Mrs.Lay and we will be learning lots of new things! We will first be reviewing your posture and typing skills, then we will learn Memos, Letters and Finally Reports! Good luck and do your best! This is a dual credit class, meaning you get a High School Credit and a Junior High Credit for passing this class! Every week I will give you directions on here and will also give you a few websites to visit in class and in your free time! WELCOME to My BLOG! This class focuses on Presentations. The students will demonstrate the ability to create, use and present a PowerPoint presentation. The students will also learn desktop publishing with Microsoft Publisher in which they will be encouraged to explore their creative abilities in producing professional looking documents.

Accounting 1
WELCOME To My BLOG! Accounting I is a first year course offered to students interested in accounting, a business or computer related field, or secretarial/clerical work. Students will study the complete accounting cycle for small business' organized as sole proprietorsships and partnerships. The cycle includes the use of journals, ledgers, financial statement preperation, and computerized accounting applications. The course includes two practice sets in addition to the textbook and workbook. Prerequisite: Algebra 121 or equivalent.
